KOS Breeding Bird Blitz
The inaugural Breeding Bird Blitz (BBBlitz) was held June 13–16, 2025 and it was a big success by any measure. Janet Kistler's Article about the event says:
"The Breeding Bird Blitz was a blast! From June 13 through 16, birders from all over the state recorded the birds in Kentucky at the peak of breeding season. The turnout was fantastic and the enthusiasm was contagious..."

A big thank you goes to Janet Kistler and the BBBlitz team for their work in creating, organizing and bringing this new KOS event to life!
A map of the BBB trip report results is shown at left. Obviously, we got great coverage of much of the state.
Brad Everhart's photo of a Kentucky Warbler (above) is an example of the many wonderful photos you can find in the trip report.
